Poynton Tutorials was founded in 2005 by Joyce Beasley, a retired Headteacher, with over 40 years in the teaching profession.  She has a unique understanding and knowledge of teaching and of personal one-to-one tuition, having tutored children from Key stage 1 to Key Stage 4 for the past 12 years.

Veronica O’Connor has also spent many years in teaching, specialising in both English and Maths up to and including GCSE and ‘A’ Level English.  She has a teaching qualification in Special Needs, and was the Head of the Special Needs Department in a secondary school in Sheffield.  Veronica is also a Fellow of Hallam University.
